Dogecoin Stays Above $0.09 Amid Whale Accumulation and Derivatives Activity
Dogecoin (DOGE) is showing resilience in the market, maintaining its price above $0.09 despite fluctuations. According to a recent analysis, the cryptocurrency has experienced two consecutive monthly gains, with September's increase at 17.1% and August's at 19%. These positive returns have contributed to DOGE's current trading value of $0.09696, a 0.24% increase over the last 24 hours.
The surge in Dogecoin's price is attributed to several factors, including whale accumulation, heightened derivatives activity, and favorable technical momentum. Whale buying has been reported with the purchase of an additional 1.14 billion DOGE worth around $112 million in the past 96 hours. This increase in demand could be a significant factor in maintaining the current price level.
Derivatives activity also plays a crucial role, with open interest climbing from $300 million in July to approximately $1.5 billion by late September. Trading volume spiked during this period, reaching over $4 billion around September 23. If derivatives activity and whale buying persist, it could push the price towards the next resistance area at $0.10.
