Dogecoin's Price Still Tracks Public Attention More Than Fundamentals
Dogecoin, often seen as a cryptocurrency that defies conventional logic, has been making waves since its creation in 2013 as a satirical coin. Its price still reacts to public attention rather than fundamental drivers.
The existence of spot-price Dogecoin ETFs is a notable development, but they hold little money and trade very lightly. The largest Dogecoin ETF on the market, REX-Osprey DOGE, has $13.1 million in assets under management and averages about $247,000 in daily trading.
In contrast, leading Bitcoin ETFs move about $2.2 billion in daily trading value. This disparity highlights the limited appeal of Dogecoin for serious investors.
