DogeOS Launches Chikyū Public Testnet for Programmable Capital
DogeOS has made significant strides in its mission to make Dogecoin (DOGE) a programmable capital. On September 30, it launched the Chikyū public testnet, which brings Ethereum-style smart contracts to the platform through a zero-knowledge roll-up compatible layer.
This move aims to expand DOGE's role beyond payments and trading, enabling its use as programmable capital in decentralized apps (dApps), decentralized exchanges (DEXs), and DeFi development. The Chikyū testnet is designed to boost adoption, scalability, and security on the network.
The market seems to be responding positively to this development, with DOGE experiencing a 1.07% increase in its market capitalization over the past day. Its 24-hour spot volume has also seen a 1.29% surge, reaching $44.05 billion.
