DogeOS Testnet Launch Fails to Spark Price Rally in Dogecoin
Dogecoin developers have launched a public testnet for DogeOS, a new application layer built around the memecoin. The testnet is open to developers who can experiment with various services such as payments, trading, lending, and games using DOGE. Despite this development, the price of DOGE has not seen a significant impact, remaining below $0.10.
The DogeOS public testnet was launched on September 30, and teams are already working on different products. However, it's essential to note that DogeOS is a separate project from Dogecoin itself and does not upgrade the main blockchain.
DOGE has been trading near $0.095, up less than 1% at the time of this writing. Although the price response was minimal, DOGE has managed to stay above previous support levels, indicating that buyers have taken back some control. The next level of resistance is at $0.10, which DOGE briefly surpassed in September but couldn't hold.
The testnet provides a fresh development story for Dogecoin, but traders are waiting for stronger evidence of adoption before making any significant moves.
