DOJ IG Declines Further Action on Attorney General Todd Blanche's Crypto Transactions
Attorney General Todd Blanche's cryptocurrency transactions have been scrutinized by the Justice Department's Inspector General. According to a newly released financial disclosure, the OGE annotation states that the DOJ IG declined further action regarding several cryptocurrency transactions previously disclosed by Blanche.
The transactions in question involved multiple digital assets, including Bitcoin, Solana, Ethereum Classic, Polygon, Polkadot, Quant, and Ethereum. Blanche reported selling $100,001-$250,000 of Bitcoin and $15,001-$50,000 of Ethereum in June 2025, along with smaller cryptocurrency positions.
The Campaign Legal Center had asked the DOJ Inspector General to investigate whether Blanche's participation violated federal conflict-of-interest law. However, the OGE filing does not provide the Inspector General's reasoning or characterize the matter as an exoneration.
