Dormant Bitcoin Wallet Moves $1.7 Million After 15 Years

A long-dormant Bitcoin wallet has moved $1.7 million in BTC after over 15 years of inactivity, according to Galaxy Research.

The wallet transferred two batches of coins on September 29: 10.33 BTC and 10.10 BTC, worth approximately $4 and $3 per Bitcoin, respectively.

Galaxy estimated that the larger batch gained around $872,000 relative to its historical value, representing a staggering increase of about 2,192,671%.

The combined gain across both batches was roughly $1.724 million. However, it's essential to note that these calculations reflect the difference between estimated historical values and current values, not necessarily indicating the sale or transfer of ownership.
