A long-dormant Bitcoin wallet has come back to life after more than 14 years of inactivity, sending 600 BTC valued at approximately $51.9 million at the time of transfer.
The coins originated from a transaction first received on July 14th, 2012, and remained untouched until they were moved in block 968116 on September 22nd, 2026.
Galaxy Research highlighted the event on X, noting the substantial realized profit of $48.71 million, representing a gain of 1,063,304% since the initial transaction.
This single awakening underscores ongoing activity in ancient wallets and comes as crypto research firm Glassnode reports a bullish on-chain signal for Bitcoin.
