Dormant Bitcoin Wallet Stirs After 15 Years

A previously dormant Bitcoin wallet has shown signs of life after 15.4 years of inactivity, moving 20.43 BTC worth approximately $1.7 million to Segregated Witness addresses.

The transfer cost less than $1 and came from Braiins payouts valued between $3 to $4 per coin.

This move marks the end of a long period of inactivity for the wallet, which began in May 2011.

Interestingly, the BTC has not been sent to a known cryptocurrency exchange deposit address, unlike earlier transfers linked to Mt. Gox and Silk Road, both popular channels during that time.
