In a sudden burst of activity, eight dormant Bitcoin wallets created in 2013 simultaneously transferred 25 BTC each on September 5, 2026. According to btcparser.com, all eight transfers occurred within a 25-second window, suggesting the same entity or owner consolidating funds.

The transfers also included sending half of the stash to custodian Bitgo, with the other half sent to an address not flagged by Arkham Intelligence as suspicious. This is just one example of the recent activity in dormant Bitcoin wallets.

As of September 5, 2026, these 2013 wallets have been the biggest spenders this month, accounting for 346.07 BTC across nine separate transfers. Excluding the eight transfers to Bitgo, another single transaction moved 146.05 BTC on September 2.

An additional three distinct transfers from wallets created in 2011 emerged on September 3, moving a total of 90.50 BTC worth $7.22 million. This is a significant increase from their original value of $285 when the stash was first obtained back in 2011.
