Dormant ENA Whale Moves $39 Million to Binance
A cryptocurrency whale holding ENA tokens has resumed activity after a year of dormancy, transferring a significant amount of its holdings to Binance. On October 3, the address starting with 0xa554 sent 30 million ENA to BitGo, which was later moved to Binance. Just three days later, on October 6, the same whale transferred an additional 37,725 million ENA, worth approximately $9.25 million at the time, following the same route.
The latest transfer was about 26% larger than the first. On-chain data indicates that the ENA tokens were first routed to a BitGo deposit wallet, then to BitGo’s hot wallet, before finally reaching a Binance deposit address. Lookonchain, which tracked the transactions, described the move as a sale, though the exact sale price or amount realized was not disclosed.
Despite these transfers, the whale still holds a substantial amount of ENA. After the two transactions, the wallet retained 119,82 million ENA, valued at around $29.6 million. The remaining balance is greater than the total amount of tokens sent to Binance so far. The whale’s sudden activity and large remaining holdings have caught the attention of ENA investors, making future transactions worth monitoring.
