Tim Draper's Draper University has partnered with Cardano and Orion Fund to launch the Apex Growth Accelerator, a 10-week on-site program in Silicon Valley aimed at driving DeFi growth. The initiative will provide up to $70,000 in funding to selected startups in exchange for a 3.5% equity stake.

The application window closes on September 1, 2026, and on-site activities begin on October 5, 2026. Participating companies will gain access to specialized technical mentorship and business networking channels within the Draper ecosystem.

Cardano's architecture operates under the Extended UTXO (EUTXO) model, which shares core security principles with Bitcoin by recording transactions via deterministic and verifiable states. This compatibility could provide a pathway for channeling Bitcoin liquidity into Cardano financial tools.
