Draper's Tanzanian Resort Sells for Gold, Houses, and Cattle

American venture capitalist and bitcoin investor Tim Draper has put his luxury resort investment in Tanzania up for sale, attracting unusual offers from potential buyers. The 110-acre property on Lupita Island, located in Lake Tanganyika's Rukwa Region, is being sold for $7.9 million or the best offer.

The development comes after Tanzania's government clarified that Draper does not own the island but holds an investment interest that can be transferred under the country's laws.

According to reports, some potential buyers have proposed exchanging the resort for gold mines, houses, and cattle. One offer reportedly involved paying $1 upfront and settling the balance later.
