Dunamu Teams Up with Korean Government to Bring Tech to Traditional Markets
Dunamu, the operator of South Korea's largest cryptocurrency exchange Upbit, has partnered with government agencies to digitize traditional markets and small businesses in Seoul. On August 24, Dunamu CEO Oh Kyoung-suk attended a ceremony in Gwacheon, south of Seoul, along with representatives from two government agencies related to small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The partnership aims to utilize Dunamu's digital infrastructure and technologies, including AI and blockchain, to modernize traditional markets and small businesses. As part of the agreement, the three organizations will hold a digital innovation contest for undergraduate and graduate students to propose ideas for technology-driven market modernization.
The first joint initiative is expected to demonstrate how blockchain and AI technologies can provide tangible assistance to small businesses and traditional markets, which form the foundation of the real economy. Dunamu's CEO emphasized that this partnership offers an opportunity to show the practical benefits of these technologies beyond the virtual world.
