EBC12 Brings Europe's Top Financiers Together After MiCA Regulation

Share

The European Blockchain Convention (EBC12) returns to Barcelona for its 12th edition on September 16-17, 2026. This event marks a significant moment for the industry as it is the first major gathering since the MiCA regulation became fully law in Europe.

With over 300 leaders from banks, regulators, and asset managers in attendance, EBC12 provides a platform for European deal flow to take place. The focus now shifts from complying with regulations to exploring new opportunities such as CASP licensing, stablecoin issuance, and the role of CBDCs in cross-border settlement.

Deutsche Börse has invested $200 million in Kraken, while Santander's digital bank, Openbank, has expanded its crypto trading services for customers across Germany and Spain. Both institutions will be discussing their next steps at EBC12.
