Edelman Sees $500K Bitcoin by 2030, Cites Amazon Comparison
Veteran financial advisor Ric Edelman has made a bold prediction for Bitcoin's future price. Speaking with Bitcoin Magazine TV, Edelman compared Bitcoin to Amazon in 1999, when the e-commerce giant was still small and facing skepticism from investors.
Edelman believes that just as Amazon eventually became widely accepted and its stock price skyrocketed, Bitcoin will follow a similar path. He notes that adoption of Bitcoin is increasing, but it still has a long way to go before reaching mainstream status.
According to Edelman's model, if investors worldwide allocate 1% of their portfolio holdings to BTC, the price could rise to approximately $500,000 per coin by 2030. This figure is based on his assumptions about future investment flows and is considered a relatively conservative estimate compared to other predictions in the market.
Edelman's prediction would require a significant increase from Bitcoin's current price of around $76,633, which is still below its record high of $126,080 set in October 2025. To reach his target, Bitcoin would need to surge approximately 552% or more than six times its current price.
