Edelman Stands Firm: Bitcoin to Reach $500,000 by 2030
Financial advisor Ric Edelman is sticking to his prediction that Bitcoin will hit $500,000 by 2030. Speaking at the Bitcoin Treasuries Conference, he described Bitcoin as the 'best-performing' asset since its inception and anticipates this trend continuing in the foreseeable future.
BTC has already seen a significant gain of 13,611% over the last decade, outperforming gold and the S&P 500. However, Edelman is looking beyond the short-term cycle and focusing on 2030 and 2035.
He believes that if global asset owners allocate just 1% of their portfolios to Bitcoin, the price could reach $500,000 by 2030. A 2% allocation would push the value even higher to $1 million per coin.
Edelman recommends raising Bitcoin's share in portfolios to at least 10% and as high as 40%, dismissing the typical 1%-2% allocation as 'insufficient'. This view is supported by BlackRock's analysis, which found that allocating just 1% to 2% of a traditional 60/40 portfolio to BTC would have improved risk-adjusted returns.
