Edin Dzeko Signs One-Year Contract Extension with Schalke 04 Amid Crypto Sponsorship Slide

Schalke 04 has secured Edin Dzeko's services until June 2027, as the Bosnian striker agreed to a one-year contract extension with the German club. The deal is reportedly worth between €900,000 and €1.5 million annually, including bonuses.

Dzeko initially joined Schalke on a short-term contract in January 2026 after leaving AS Roma. He contributed six goals in 11 appearances, helping propel the club back to Germany's top flight.

The club viewed Dzeko as crucial for their Bundesliga return campaign and began negotiations with him around March 2026. However, Dzeko delayed his final decision until after fulfilling international commitments with Bosnia-Herzegovina.
