EGLD Resumes Block Production After Five-Day Exploit Halt
MultiversX (EGLD) resumed mainnet block production on September 24 after a five-day exploit halt. The disruption was caused by a virtual-machine atomicity issue that led to invalid state changes and stopped the network from advancing.
A recovery upgrade was deployed, allowing new blocks to appear on the MultiversX mainnet gateway after the restart.
Kraken customers are still unable to trade, deposit or withdraw EGLD, despite the resumed block production. Exchanges and bridges are expected to reopen in stages following the network restart.
