A data center in El Reno, Oklahoma, has been issued multiple safety and code violation notices after a water leak disrupted schools and residents. The facility, operated by Athlon BT, specializes in mobile data centers equipped with air- and water-cooling technology for AI storage and Bitcoin mining.

The water line failure at the site leaked three million gallons of water, affecting nearby schools and residents. Documents obtained from the city revealed several fire and safety hazards, including dangerous structures, drainage issues, expired building permits, and a lack of a final certificate of occupancy.

Athlon BT has been given 10 days to correct the public nuisance conditions. If the company fails to comply, the city or its agents may take necessary action to address the issues. An administrative hearing is scheduled for next month.
