El Salvador's Bitcoin Purchases Stay Profitable with No Public Funds Used
El Salvador's government has reportedly continued to purchase around 1 BTC per day since making Bitcoin a legal tender.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) confirms that public funds have not been used for these purchases since June of last year, allowing the IMF to approve the next $140 million payment from its $1.4 billion loan program.
This means that despite the government's Bitcoin purchases, it has managed to remain profitable and avoid using public money for these investments.
