EMCD Unveils Miner Support Program Amidst Industry-Wide Profitability Squeeze
EMCD, a global crypto-fintech platform and one of the world's largest Bitcoin mining pools, has launched its Miner Support Program to help miners affected by the current industry-wide profitability squeeze. The program offers up to $30 million in financing, fee relief, and partner benefits to eligible miners.
The current market conditions are challenging, with Bitcoin's hashprice plummeting 50% from its October 2025 peak to approximately $28/PH/day, according to CoinShares Q1 2026 data. This has led to an estimated 252 EH/s of mining capacity being taken offline as operators struggle to maintain profitability.
EMCD sees this period as both a stress test and an opportunity for active miners. The company's program includes restructured fees, negotiated hardware deals, and access to its liquidity and yield products, designed to help miners navigate the current market.
'We've been through every cycle in this industry since 2017,' said EMCD Founder & CEO Michael Jerlis. 'What we've learned is that the operators who survive aren't the ones who wait out the downturns. They're the ones who use them.'
