Emirates Airlines Joins Crypto Payment Revolution with SHIB Acceptance

Dubai's Emirates Airlines has joined the growing list of companies accepting cryptocurrencies as payment. The airline now allows customers to pay for flights, in-flight services, and goods using Shiba Inu (SHIB) among other 29 cryptocurrencies.

The adoption of SHIB and other cryptos is part of Dubai's Cashless Strategy under the D33 Economic Agenda. Eligible UAE residents can use the Crypto.Com Pay app to make bookings priced and settled in Emirati Dirham (AED).

Emirates' Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim, said that this initiative reflects the evolving preferences of a younger, digitally fluent generation who expect airlines to keep pace with their payment habits.
