Emirates Now Accepts Cryptocurrency Payments for Flights

Share

Emirates has become one of the first airlines to offer cryptocurrency payments for flights. The Dubai-based airline has launched Crypto.com Pay as a payment option, allowing eligible customers in the UAE to book flights using cryptocurrency through its website and app.

The new feature is available to UAE residents with a Crypto.com account who are booking flights priced in UAE dirhams (AED). To make a purchase, customers can select Crypto.com Pay at checkout and approve the payment via the Crypto.com app. Once completed, their booking confirmation and e-ticket will be issued instantly.

The move follows a partnership between Emirates and Crypto.com announced in 2025. The airline aims to give customers more flexibility when paying for travel while keeping up with growing demand for digital payment options. This also supports Dubai's ambitions to become a global leader in digital finance through the Dubai Cashless Strategy, which targets 90% of financial transactions across the public and private sectors to be digital by the end of 2026.
