Solana Skyrockets to $357K Amid Wild Returns Across Cryptos, Stocks, and Collectibles
The $10K Experiment Reveals Wild Returns Across Cryptos, Stocks, and Collectibles
Investors who put $10,000 into Solana in January 2021 saw their money turn into $357,628 by April 2026, a staggering +3,476% return. This is according to MarketWise's analysis of 21 different assets, including cryptocurrencies, stocks, ETFs, and collectibles.
A sealed Pokémon card box returned +1,750%, outperforming most major cryptos except Solana. The vintage Charizard PSA 9, on the other hand, saw a modest +12% return, while its modern counterpart Shining Fates Charizard suffered a -59% loss.
The study also highlights the disparity between hype and reality in investing. AI ETFs (ARKK, BOTZ, AIQ) averaged just +28% over five years, underperforming the S&P 500 by 79 percentage points. Meanwhile, meme stocks like GameStop saw wildly different returns: +469% for early investors versus -72% for those who bought in at the peak.
