ENA Price Soars 20% as Ethena Addresses Investor Unlock Concerns
Ethena's (ENA) price surged over 20% in 24 hours as the Ethena Foundation addressed long-standing concerns about investor unlocks and economic value distribution.
The foundation announced it bought back locked ENA tokens from major seed investors, accelerating the remaining unlock schedule. This move is expected to alleviate selling pressure on the market.
Ethena acquired approximately 12% of locked and unvested tokens through over-the-counter transactions with investors who were originally allocated more than 0.25% of ENA's total supply.
The foundation also reached a Master Framework Agreement with Ethena Labs, licensing material intellectual property to the foundation and its ecosystem. This agreement ensures that economic upside, residual profit, and potential proceeds from any future sale will accrue to the foundation and ecosystem, not Ethena Labs' equity holders.
