Eos Energy Stock Jumps on Massive Google Partnership
Eos Energy Enterprises (EOSE) stock surged 12% after announcing a major partnership with Google and MN8 Energy to develop a clean energy project in West Virginia.
The project, dubbed Mammoth Solar, combines 86 MW of solar power with two types of energy storage: Eos' Z3 zinc-based long-duration storage and lithium-ion batteries. The setup is designed to deliver clean, dispatchable power to the PJM grid around the clock, matching the load profiles of Google's data centers in the region.
The deal represents up to $350 million in capital investment and is expected to generate around $4 million in property tax revenue for Kanawha County and local schools over the first 20 years of operations. Construction will create approximately 200 jobs, with additional full- and part-time roles anticipated during the project's operating life.
