The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has updated its interim Markets in Crypto-Assets register, adding 15 new crypto-asset service providers to bring the total to 309.

BNY's Belgian subsidiary, BNY SA/NV, was approved for crypto custody and transfer services under the MiCA framework. This marks a significant development as traditional banks expand their regulated digital-asset operations in Europe.

The additions came from eight European jurisdictions, with Germany contributing four new entries and Denmark adding three. Bulgaria and Latvia each added two providers, while Belgium, Cyprus, Liechtenstein, and the Netherlands contributed one each.
