ETF Growth Meets Key Technical Setup for HYPE
The 21Shares Hyperliquid Staking ETF has reported its first full operating-period results, providing insight into how a listed investment product incorporates HYPE staking into its structure. The fund held $71.17 million in net assets at the end of June, with HYPE holdings valued at approximately the same amount. The ETF's NAV per share stood at $37.86.
The fund's staking strategy involves staking most of its HYPE holdings, with 94.43% of the fund's HYPE holdings staked at the end of the reporting period. The ETF generated $125,025 in staking rewards during its initial operating period and distributed $73,118 to shareholders.
The staking mechanism of the fund brings up a liquidity issue, as HYPE staked will be subject to the seven-day unbonding period imposed on the network. The ETF needs to strike a balance between staking and liquidity maintenance, normally allocating from 60% to 100% of its HYPE based on liquidity needs, redemptions, market situation, and validator performance.
The importance of the listed instrument is not only connected with the scale of one particular ETF. A listed instrument, which involves the staking of HYPE, provides a tool for the traditional investor to take part in a certain aspect of the economics of the network without any involvement into the token and staking processes.
HYPE's current chart features a micro-support of 86.27-89.20, with a next target for the bullish case at $94.96, assuming that the price manages to break above the resistance formation.
