ETF Inflows Fail to Lift Bitcoin Price as Stagnation Continues
The US spot ETFs channelled a significant amount of money into Bitcoin in September, with a total inflow of $2.65 billion. This is the second-highest monthly figure since October 2025, with August's inflows being slightly higher at $3.52 billion. The funds now hold Bitcoin worth around $109.3 billion.
Despite the large inflows, the price of Bitcoin has barely moved since 21 September, staying between $83,500 and $86,600 for 12 days. This has raised questions about why the price is not rising in tandem with the increasing demand from the funds. Long-term holders and traders closing leveraged positions may be contributing to the stagnant price.
A notable contrast is seen in the Ether ETFs, which have experienced outflows in the past few days, with $55.4 million flowing out on 1 October. Institutional investors are leaning towards Bitcoin at the start of the fourth quarter, with Bitcoin being the preferred choice.
