ETF Inflows Hit $264M Amid Coldcard Fallout

Investors continued to pour money into Bitcoin ETFs this week, with over $211.5 million in net inflows on Tuesday following a similar amount on Monday.

The influx of capital coincided with renewed attention to digital asset security, particularly after the Coldcard hack that resulted in an estimated $130 million in losses and affected around 7,300 addresses.

Analysts noted that features like institutional custody in ETFs may now be viewed as advantages over self-custody, given recent events. BlackRock's IBIT led the recovery with inflows of $111 million on Monday and $170 million on Tuesday.

Bloomberg Intelligence analyst Eric Balchunas said the hack could accelerate migration toward Bitcoin ETFs as investors reassess the trade-offs between institutional custodians and smaller crypto companies.
