ETF Redemptions Fail to Deter Ethereum Price Rally
The iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA) experienced a modest setback on September 30, 2026, with outflows of $8.94 million. This move trimmed risk exposure after a strong quarter for digital assets. The outflows represent about 0.09% of the ETF's $9.91 billion in assets under management.
The Ethereum-related asset, ETH-USD, is currently trading around $2,680.10, having surged roughly 53% over the past three months. This surge is attributed to investors returning to major smart-contract platforms. A short-term technical reading is flashing a Strong Buy signal.
The contrast between ETF redemptions and spot price strength suggests that some investors are locking in profits through listed vehicles while retaining exposure elsewhere or rotating into other risk assets. However, given the small share of AUM affected, flows appear more like tactical positioning than a wholesale retreat from Ethereum-linked products.
