ETH/BTC Level Key as Altseason Hopes Rely on Critical Resistance Break
The ongoing debate about whether the cryptocurrency market is entering an altseason hinges on a key level for the ETH/BTC pair. An analyst notes that this pair has broken out of a falling channel and is now testing the 0.0355 resistance level. A successful breakout could signal stronger performance from Ethereum and potentially trigger a broader rotation into altcoins. However, this remains speculative until the resistance is cleared.
Among the altcoins to watch, XRP is currently trading around $1.49, facing a resistance block between $1.65 and $1.72. If XRP can surpass this level, it could target $2.00 and possibly $2.62. However, previous failures to break this resistance in August and September raise concerns about another potential rejection, which could push XRP back toward $1.00.
BNB is in a relatively strong position, rallying from the lower border of an ascending channel and approaching $800 resistance. A break above $800 could open the door to $930 and $1,150, with altseason potentially pushing it to $1,200 or even a new all-time high near $1,500. Failure to hold above $800, however, could keep BNB trapped between $540 and $800.
Solana is currently positioned around the middle trendline of a falling wedge. Without an altseason, a retest of $200 could be delayed, possibly until next year. A break above $200 would target $260, while a failure could expose Solana to a drop below $50. The altseason question ultimately depends on ETH/BTC clearing 0.0355, while each altcoin faces its own technical challenges.
