ETH Price Outlook: Bull Flag Still Alive, But Resistance Zone Looms
Ethereum's price has been consolidating near the top of its recent advance, but technical analysis suggests that the bulls remain in control. The cryptocurrency's futures have rebounded from lower support and are holding much of August's sharp advance, keeping a potential bull flag in play.
The bullish case begins with Ethereum's advance from $1,914 on August 18 to $2,490 on August 21, a gain of approximately 30.1%. Since then, price has spent several weeks consolidating near the top of that move, retaining much of the earlier advance and supporting the potential continuation case.
A sustained move above $2,550-$2,580 would strengthen the bullish case, but another rejection would leave the range intact. The failed breakout and recovery tell a more useful story, with buyers defending the lower part of the range while sellers prevent a sustained escape above it.
