ETH Staking Surges: Ethereum's Liquidity Conundrum Takes Center Stage
Ethereum's staking activity has surged to a new all-time high of 41.4 million ETH, accounting for roughly 34% of the total ETH supply.
This trend is reflected in recent on-chain data, which shows that over 1.4 million ETH have moved into staking in just the past week alone.
The increased staking activity has naturally led to a reduction in liquid ETH available for trading, resulting in tighter market liquidity.
According to ValidatorQueue and Lookonchain data, this trend is not isolated to individual investors; large wallets like Tom Lee's BitMine have also followed the same strategy, with 150,120 ETH staked in recent times, bringing its total staked holdings to 5.07 million ETH worth roughly $9.38 billion.
The data suggests that Ethereum's rising staked supply could be a leading indicator for broader crypto market performance, particularly if it continues to move at this pace.
