A significant ETH whale has executed fresh profit-taking after the token printed fresh highs near $2,725. The entity, which accumulated 124,021 tokens at $2,028 three years ago, offloaded a total of 81,228 ETH over the past two days at an average price of $2,669.
This resulted in realized gains of $52.07 million on the original position. Additionally, within the last hour, the same whale routed 48,048 ETH ($130 million) to Bitfinex.
According to technical analysis, price action on the 4h chart shows ETH testing upper Bollinger Band resistance at $2,719.98 while RSI(14) sits in overbought territory and MACD maintains its golden cross. A measured pullback toward the 50-EMA support anchored at $2,551.78 appears probable before any continuation higher.
Institutional flows of this size are often seen as marking local distribution rather than capitulation.
