Ether.fi and Zcash Get Direct ETP Listings in Europe
21Shares has launched two new physically backed exchange-traded products (ETPs) in Europe, expanding access to ether.fi and Zcash. The company introduced the 21Shares ether.fi ETP under ticker ETHFI and the 21Shares Zcash ETP under ticker ZCASH.
The ETPs track their respective underlying cryptoassets, allowing investors to buy them through European brokerage platforms and financial institutions without directly holding ETHFI or ZEC. This structure removes several steps associated with direct crypto ownership, including opening a crypto exchange account, managing private keys, and arranging personal token custody.
Third-party custodians handle the backing of the products, making it easier for investors to access them through traditional investment channels. The launch is part of 21Shares' expansion strategy in Europe, which has offered physically backed crypto ETPs since 2018.
