Ether.fi Surges 7.08 Points Following 'Summer' Platform Upgrade
Ether.fi's price surged by 7.08 points over the last 12 hours following its platform upgrade, dubbed 'Summer'. The update significantly changes how value accrues to ETHFI, shifting it from a narrow restaking platform towards a broader self-custodial finance stack.
The upgrade introduced tokenized stocks and metals, as well as portfolio-backed borrowing via an Aave-powered lending market. It also brought programmatic buybacks funded from protocol revenue, tightening the link between platform activity and ETHFI demand.
The move broke above Ether.fi's 200-day EMA and its prior $0.48-$0.50 resistance band, clearing resistance and attracting momentum traders. Daily RSI around 72 was flagged as 'strong buying pressure', with a warning that short-term pullbacks or volatility were likely.
