Ether Long Position Liquidations Surge Past $26 Million in One Hour
The cryptocurrency market experienced significant liquidations on September 24, particularly for long-position holders of Ether (ETH).
Data from Binance, Bybit, and OKX exchanges indicates that long-position liquidations reached $26.05 million within the hour ending at 5:37 a.m. ET (09:37 UTC).
This figure represents nearly all of the total Ether liquidations across the period, which came to $26.09 million.
Short-position liquidations accounted for only $40,000 during this time, demonstrating that long positions were predominantly responsible for the forced closures.
Ether's price declined by 0.98% to $2,645 over the hour, starting at $2,671.
