Ethereum Aims for Cryptographic World Computer with New Technologies

Ethereum's path to becoming a 'cryptographic world computer' was outlined by Vitalik Buterin, one of its co-founders.

This ambitious goal involves combining blockchain, privacy, verification, and decentralized off-chain components into a single system.

Buterin emphasized that this evolution will be driven by the introduction of new technologies such as STARK proofs, automated formal verification, consensus optimization, and quantum resistance.

The project's current development track is focused on Lean Ethereum, which aims to improve scalability and efficiency through a series of changes over three to four years.
