Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, is outlining a new vision for the platform that goes beyond its traditional blockchain design. He envisions a 'cryptographic world computer' where advanced cryptography handles more network computation and data.

This shift would allow nodes to verify smaller proofs rather than redoing complex calculations, reducing hardware requirements and making it easier for more people to run Ethereum nodes.

The Hegota fork, expected in the future, will introduce FOCIL, a feature that ensures valid user transactions are included in blocks. It also supports flexible accounts with features like social recovery and quantum-resistant signatures.
