Ethereum and Two Others Dominate Euro Stablecoin Market
The euro stablecoin market has experienced significant growth in recent years, surging from €50 million in early 2024 to $835 million by mid-2026. The market is dominated by a few major players, with Ethereum, Solana, and Base controlling an impressive 91.5% of the market share.
Ethereum leads the pack with nearly 70% of the market share, followed closely by Solana at 14.8%, and Base at 6.9%. The dominance of these three players is a testament to their popularity and widespread adoption in the euro stablecoin market.
The majority of euro stablecoins now comply with MiCA regulations, with Circle's EURC and SG Forge's EURCV tokens making up over 80% of the supply. This concentration of market share highlights the challenges facing other blockchains in this segment.
