Ethereum (ETH) is gaining momentum against Bitcoin (BTC), approaching the 0.03 level, as altcoins continue to outperform the flagship asset.

According to trader @CryptoMichNL, BTC has been consolidating in recent months, which has fueled strength across the altcoin sector.

The price action on the 4h chart shows ETH at $1876.92 inside the Bollinger Bands with upper resistance at $1906.63 and lower support at $1862.42.

The technical indicators suggest a bearish outlook, with the EMA50 capping upside at $1890.72 and the MACD confirming a 'bearish death cross', indicating a potential liquidity sweep lower in BTC could trigger a flush before altcoin outperformance resumes.
