Ethereum Breaks Year-Long Pattern, But Daily Chart Warns of Losing Momentum
Ethereum has broken a year-long pattern by printing a higher high and pushing through resistance at $2,438. This comes after reaching an all-time high of $4,957 in August 2025.
Crypto analyst Benjamin Cowen says Ethereum has returned to its long-term logarithmic regression band, which he uses to estimate the asset's historical trend. He notes that ETH is already within this range and favors dollar-cost averaging through the second half of the US midterm year.
The weekly chart shows a change in momentum for Ethereum, with the RSI climbing to 64 after reaching $2,807. A move above $2,920 would strengthen the case for a push toward $3,400.
However, the daily chart is flashing a warning signal, as the daily RSI makes lower highs despite ETH making higher highs, indicating bearish divergence.
