Ethereum Bull Flag Forms: Will Hourly Close Above $2,700 Confirm Breakout?
Ethereum is trading at $2,675.82 and forming a textbook bull flag on the 1-hour chart, according to crypto analyst Ali Martinez.
The consolidation in Ethereum's price is not weakness, but rather compression before release, as the structure tightens into one of the cleanest continuation setups of the current cycle.
The bull flag pattern consists of a sharp directional move, known as the flagpole, followed by a controlled consolidation that forms a descending channel or wedge.
Ethereum's flagpole originated near $2,300 and has been consolidating into a wedge since September 23. The upper boundary of the current consolidation range is at $2,700.
A confirmed hourly close above $2,700 would signal buyers have absorbed all selling pressure at that level and confirm the bull flag breakout.
