Ethereum Bull Flag Targets $3,050 as Crypto Resilience Holds Strong
Ethereum has been consolidating around $2,470 since Sept. 10 after a sharp rebound in late August, but this recent slowdown may be setting up a larger move.
A fresh analysis by Reuters identified a bull flag pattern following Ether's 37% rally over 10 days and peak near $2,564. The target of this pattern points to a potential $3,050 if ETH breaks out of its current consolidation.
The $3,040-$3,060 region previously acted as resistance, giving the projected move a historical level that traders are familiar with. Ethereum has already cleared levels that looked difficult only weeks ago, and Coinpaper's earlier analysis highlighted improving relative strength against Bitcoin.
However, there is a clear failure point for this bullish setup: a sustained break below $2,350-$2,360 would invalidate the flag structure and weaken the case for a push toward $3,050. A move through roughly $2,560-$2,600 would make a run toward $3,000 easier to justify technically.
Ethereum's consolidation is happening while traditional markets are dealing with an inflation shock, with oil moving above $100 as bond yields climbed. This normally uncomfortable backdrop for crypto has not broken Ethereum down yet, following a period of stronger momentum and reinforcement by recent reports showing Ethereum Layer 2 networks processing 94% of ecosystem transactions.
