Ethereum Catalyst Emerges as Remittix PayFi Service Tests with 1,000 Holders
Ethereum's recovery story is based on DeFi activity and network upgrades, but another catalyst is emerging in the form of Remittix's PayFi service. More than 1,000 existing RTX holders have been invited to test the crypto-to-bank payment service before its November 24 debut. The Remittix ecosystem brings a wallet, trading venue, and PayFi app into one platform, which could attract users who need to move crypto into a bank account and may also discover other services.
The possibility of building habits and increasing user engagement makes RTX more intriguing than a single-product launch. A smooth route from wallet to bank money could serve recurring cross-border needs, including international invoices and family transfers. The World Bank estimated global remittances at $856 billion in 2024, and a 0.1% slice approaches $1 billion in annual payment volume and millions in potential network fees.
Remittix has reported more than $50 million in cumulative trading volume, and the perps opportunity has grown to roughly $208 billion in trailing 30-day trading and $53 million in protocol revenue. RTX is intended for settlement and staking within Remittix, and customers who arrive for a payment may discover trading; traders may later need a bank transfer. This connected product journey gives the token several possible paths to a larger audience.
