Ethereum Charges Toward $2,000 Resistance
Ethereum's price surged in July, recording its strongest monthly gain in a year. The asset's value increased by 20.3% during this period, outperforming its historical average for the month of 10.7%. This rebound erased much of June's decline, which was 21.8%.
The strong performance of Ethereum can be attributed to Spot ETF inflows, which helped lift ETH toward the key $2,000 resistance level. Despite these gains, Crypto Patel's chart indicates that the broader downtrend remains intact and the next major test lies between $1,900 and $2,000.
The price of Ethereum has been fluctuating within a support and resistance zone between $1,750 and $1,850. A descending trendline from the August 2025 record high continues to cap major recovery attempts. ETH reached $4,953.73 on August 24, 2025, before falling about 62%.
A daily close above $2,000 could expose Ethereum to a potential move toward $2,180 and the $2,400 to $2,500 supply zone. However, a renewed failure near resistance could return ETH's price toward $1,500 or even $1,000.
