Ethereum Completes Glamsterdam Test with Boosted Block Capacity
Ethereum has completed a successful rehearsal for its upcoming 'Glamsterdam' upgrade, a major overhaul of its network.
The test, which was conducted on a testnet called Glamsterdam, saw the block gas limit raised to 200 million from 60 million about an hour after launch. This allowed for more transfers, token swaps, and smart-contract executions in a single block.
Ethereum developers are considering deploying Glamsterdam to the Sepolia testnet on October 6. The detailed schedule will be finalized at a future official meeting.
