Ethereum developers have proposed changes to the validator deposit contract to make it quantum-resistant, ensuring the security of future ETH staking deposits.

The new proposal would replace the current contract with one that can accept quantum-resistant keys, preventing new validators from entering through a signature system that advanced quantum computers might eventually forge.

Roughly 42.4 million ETH is currently staked, valued at approximately $104 billion, making this proposal crucial for preserving confidence in ETH staking and validator security.
