Ethereum Developers Warn of Potential Attack on Sepolia Testnet
Ethereum developers have confirmed the public test of the Glamsterdam upgrade on October 6 using the Sepolia testnet. The upgrade aims to increase block capacity and improve gas pricing, supporting more transactions per block.
However, they warned that attackers could exploit free test ether and disposable builder identities to win block auctions and withhold transaction payloads. This attack would not affect mainnet funds but could disrupt critical infrastructure testing before the upgrade goes live on Ethereum's mainnet.
